[Am]Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?
The [Fmaj7]kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together,

[Am]against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying,
[Fmaj7]“Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.”

[Dm]He who sits in the [Am]heavens laughs; the [C]Lord holds them in de[G]rision.
[Dm]Then he will speak to them [Am]in his wrath, and [C]terrify them in his [G]fury, saying,

“As for [F]me, I have [C]set my King on [G]Zion, my [Am]holy hill.”
“for [F]me, I have [C]set my King on [G]Zion, my [Am]holy hill.”
“for [F]me, I have [C]set my King on [G]Zion, my [Am]holy hill.”
“for [F]me, I have [C]set my King on [G]Zion. my [Am]holy hill.””

[Dm]I will tell of [Am]the decree: [C]The Lord [G]said to me,
[Dm]“You are my Son; to[Am]day [C]I have begotten [G]you.
[Dm]Ask of me, and [Am]I will make the [C]nations your [G]heritage,
and the [Dm]ends of the [Am]earth [C]your poss[G]ession.
[Dm]You shall break them [Am]with a rod of [C]iron and dash them [G]into pieces
[Dm]like a [Am]potter's [C]ves[G]sel.”

[Am]Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the
[Fmaj7]earth. Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
[Am]Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the
[Fmaj7]way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in
[Am]him. Take Refuge in [Fmaj7]Him.
